SKIPPY PEANUT BUTTER ADS - FOLLOW ME THROUGH MY DESIGN PROCESS
INSIDE THE DESIGNER PROCESS
This is the step I take before I sit down at my computer and start designing. I find this step so important and beneficial to me as a designer because it allows me to flow all my ideas out in one spot without anything stopping me. In this stage I write down everything I know needs to be included, all the information that relates to my audience, what approach I want to take and as well as little rough sketches relating to how I want to lay out my information (we call these thumbs).
ROUGH WORK IN PROGRESS: The images you see below are the rough digital outlined designs of what I came up as a start that are based from the design thoughts and information I sketched out in my notebook (photo above).
FINALS: I took what you saw above (the rough work) and turned them into the final ads that you see below. All the body copy and headlines were written by me as well. I wanted to keep this fun and playful but I also added some small details relating to the SKIPPY brand… ie the background of the ad is actually the same spiral they use on their ads and packaging but I just changed them to the colours that fit my design best.
